I am so excited to be your librarian at Negley this year!   It’s going to be a fantastic year full of learning and exploring.  I can’t wait to learn about all of you, but first here are a few things about me.

 

I grew up in Texas, just north of San Antonio.  I received two undergraduate degrees from Sam Houston State University and a masters degree from the University of Texas at Austin. 

 

I am married and have two wonderful children who are heading into 7th and 12th grade this year.  Our family has two dogs, one cat and a frog!

 

I love to travel, read, play with my kids, and take my dogs for walks.  I am so glad I get to be your librarian.  I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us!

I am thrilled to be working in the library this year at Cullen.  Previously, I had taught first grade for 19 years, 14 of those years were at Negley.

 

I grew up in the outskirts of Houston as the youngest of 5 children.  I went to college at the University of Texas, where I got my undergraduate degree in education.  I am still  very active on the UT campus.  I can often be found at a football, volleyball or basketball game cheering on the Longhorns.

 

I am married and have 2 beautiful daughters, that have both graduated college.  I am an avid pet lover and currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats.

 

In my spare time I enjoy reading, hanging out with my family, swimming and traveling.  I look forward to getting to know all of the children this year!
